2017年9月10日晚，湖州帕丁顿双语学校**届家长委员会正式成立。家委会的成立，旨在加强家校之间的沟通，及时了解学生各方面的情况，使得双方在共同努力下促进孩子的学习和成长。

The night of Sept. 10 marked the official establishment of Huzhou Paddington Bilingual School’s first parents committee. The committee aims to strengthen the school-parents communication, keep abreast of latest situation of students in all aspects and enable the School and parents to work together for students’ better learning and growth.

会议主持者是湖州帕丁顿双语学校执行校长钱坤方先生，与会者是家长和老师共同推荐的九位成员。本次会议涉及到孩子们在校的吃穿住行等多个方面，现在小帕就给大家爆料一下!

Executive Principal of the School Mr. Qian Kunfang chaired the meeting and attendees included 9 committee members recommend by parents and teachers. The meeting discussed various aspects of students’ life in school, including foods, clothes, accommodation and transportation. Now, I’d love to share with you some insider information!

议案一：家委会

Topic 1: Parents Committee

钱校长先向大家介绍了学校家长委员会的相关章程和运作模式，强调了家委会的相关职能和重要意义，本次会议重要议题之一是选举出湖州帕丁顿**届家委会的主任和副主任，代表家委会定期与学校进行沟通和对接。

Mr. Qian briefed the audience on the articles of association and mode of operation of the parents committee and stressed the relevant functions and the important role of the committee. One of the improtant task of the meeting was to elect director and deputy director of the School’s first parents committee who will keep contact with the School on behalf of all other parents.

最终在公平、公正、公开的原则下，家委会的“领导班子”脱颖而出。家委会主任为张乐水爸爸张建庆先生，副主任为章宥熙妈妈郑暖暖女士。希望两位家长能不辱使命，做好学校与家长之间这座沟通的桥梁。

Leadership of the parents committee was elected under the principles of fairness, justness and openness. Mr. Zhang Jianqing, father of Zhang Leshui took the position of director while the deputy director was Ms. Zheng Nuannuan, mother of Zhang Youxi. They are hoped to live up to other parents’ expectations and act as a bridge between the School and parents.

议案二：校服

Top 2: School Uniform

紧接着是家长们十分关心的校服问题，我校校服以国际学校的校服文化为参照。学校与多个专业承接定制服装的商家进行沟通后，最终设定了三个校服方案提供给家委会进行最终确认。

Now comes what parents care about the most, school uniform. Paddington designed its uniform with reference to the uniform culture of international schools. After communication with a number of specialized businesses of custom-made clothes, the School presented three options to the parents committee for final confirmation.

家长们各抒己见，最终成功敲定了校服方案。

Student parents each aired their own opinions and finally nailed down the uniform design.

议案三：餐饮

Topic 3: Foods

孩子们都在长身体，膳食营养也是重中之重。而我们的最后一个议题就与饮食有关，钱校长提到，帕丁顿的饮食在**优质新鲜的选材的同时，会均衡不同年龄段学生的营养，并最终决定小学一至三年级学校进行配餐，而三年级以上的同学可以自主选择购餐的模式。根据家长们的要求以及我校餐饮服务商提供的菜单，家委会最终确认住校学生的饮食费用标准为每天50元。

At this stage, students need adequate nutrition to build up their body and this is our last topic-foods. Mr. Qian reassured parents that Paddington would provide balanced nutrition for students of different age groups while ensuring top-quality and fresh ingredients to be used. A final decision was made to provide specially-designed nutritious set meals to Grade 1-3 students while students above Grade 3 will buy meals as per their personal preference. As per requests of parents and menus provided by the School’s food providers, the parents committee decided 50 yuan as the daily meal expense for boarding students.

The lively atmosphere did not fade with the settlement of all the topics above. Parents spoke out on the meeting and brought up a lot of opinions and suggestions that benefits the school operation.
