阳光是携着暖意的精灵，欢乐地在绿荫上跳动。云朵似久归的旅人，在风里洗净了纤尘。在这个初冬的午后，一次难忘的阳光大课间活动正在等待着湖州帕丁顿双语学校的孩子们。

Sunshine is a warm elf dancing joyfully in the shade. Clouds are travelers coming back home after a long journey with dust blown away by the wind. On an early winter afternoon, students of Huzhou Paddington Bilingual School had a memorable break-time activity.

当野餐邂逅英语

When picnic encounters English

绿草如茵的操场上，同学们在英语老师张老师的带领下进行一场热火朝天的野餐活动。大家带来了野餐垫，帐篷，以及琳琅满目的零食。不过想要开吃可没那么简单，他们还需要通过各种挑战哦!

Led by the English teacher Ms. Zhang, the students came to the green grass of playground for a frenzy of picnic. They brought picnic blankets, tents and an assortment of snacks. The highlight was that they had to pass rounds of challenges to get hands on the food.

ROUND 1

今天的主题是英语野餐，张老师要求大家能够讲出各种零食的英语单词。虽说是二三年级的小朋友，大家的词汇量可真不少，同学们已经能够答出许多零食的“英文名”了。而对于还没有掌握的英语单词，同学们也能跟着张老师一起朗读和记忆。

It was an English picnic and Ms. Zhang asked students to say all the snacks in English. Though they were only in Grade 2 or 3, they did a really good job and already knew how to express the snacks in English. For new words, they read after Ms. Zhang and tried hard to memorize them.

ROUND 2

完成了词汇量的升级，让我们一起进入小组PK环节。“参赛选手”分为两组，由张老师出示单词牌，同学们需要迅速辨识出英语单词所代表的零食，取至张老师身旁。

After the upgrading of vocabulary, they came to the PK session. All players were divided into two teams and competed to quickly say out loud the snack in English shown in the word card chosen by Ms. Zhang.

本次PK共有十轮，由外教担任裁判，以得分多的小组为胜。

The game was played in 10 rounds with a foreign teacher being the judge. The team that scores more won.

ROUND 3

前来观摩学习的一年级同学各举一个单词牌坐成一排，两组同学将对应单词牌的零食送至弟弟妹妹们的手中，以一分钟内送出零食品类多的一方胜出。

The audience, i.e. Grade 1 students were arranged to sit in a row each holding a word card. The two teams needed to give the corresponding snacks to the right students of word cards and the team that gave out more snacks as required within one minute would win.

通过有趣的游戏，孩子们增强了团队意识，掌握了不少的新词汇。这就是湖州帕丁顿双语学校为孩子们营造的全英语的浸润式双语环境以及寓教于乐的教学模式。完成了英语的高效学习，大家兴奋得大快朵颐!

Apart from mastering new words, these fun games also helped students learn teamwork spirit. They reflected partially the immersive bilingual environment and the “learning while having fun” educational model that the school creates for students. While learning English efficiently, everyone had a great fun!

当生日遇上惊喜

Birthday Surprise

今天是高典小朋友的生日，爸爸妈妈和老师同学共同为她准备了一个小小的生日party。美味的生日蛋糕，欢快的生日歌，一年级的高典在湖州帕丁顿双语学校度过了她的**个生日。

Today is the birthday of Gao Dian, a Grade 1 student of the school. The teachers and classmates threw her a small birthday party together with her parents. With the yummy birthday cake, cheerful birthday song, she celebrated her first birthday here in Huzhou Paddington Bilingual School.

夕阳西下，一个惬意的午后就要跟大家说再见了。

The cozy afternoon soon ended as the sun started to go down.

同学们在大课间活动中学习、玩耍，感受爱和温暖，时间定格，让我们一起铭记这段美好的时光!

Students learned, played and felt love and warmth. It’s really a wonderful time worth remembering!
