Accounting is often referred to as the language of business. Understanding this language means accountants hold the privileged position of being key contributors to a business' success. Armed with such skills, accountants can apply their knowledge in any number of dynamic industries.

This course enables you to understand the challenges and issues facing the world and the accounting profession at present, and helps you meet the requirements for professional accreditation in accounting.

KEY FEATURES

You'll gain essential accounting and reporting knowledge, as well as a range of business-related skills in assurance and audit, commercial law, economics, financial management, information systems and statistics.

The professional accounting sequence meets the tertiary education requirements of CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).

Double-degree options, some of which can be completed in four years of full-time or equivalent part-time study, are available to expand your career options.

ACCREDITATION

This degree satisfies tertiary educational requirements for entry into the CPA Australia CPA program, the CAANZ CA program, the ACCA professional program and the IPA PNA program.

To apply for an undergraduate program, international students will need to have completed one or more of the following academic qualifications: A recognized senior secondary school qualification or university entrance examination, such as the New South Wales Higher School Certificate (NSW HSC) or other equivalent Australian or overseas high school qualification; A recognized university Foundation course; A recognized 2 or 3-year Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree; At least one year of a university degree from a recognized institution. IELTS of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band, or equivalent.
