This program provides education and training in key areas of Marine Science, with streams in Marine Biology, Marine Chemical Ecology and Marine Geoscience. The strong science foundation underpinning this degree provides a wide range of opportunities in environmental fields. This degree provides education and training in key areas of Marine Science, with streams in Marine Biology and Marine Geoscience. The flexibility of this degree allows they to explore a wide range of interests while still providing opportunities for specialisation in aspects of marine science relating to biology, geology and physical geography. Fieldwork is an integral part of the program and includes optional short courses in tropical regions (past destinations include Fiji) and on the Great Barrier Reef. Those who are interested in natural sciences, as well as the marine environment. Career opportunities: aquaculture/mariculture, computer-based ecological modelling, environmental consulting, exploratory geology/petroleum industry, journalism and broadcasting, marine geology, preparation of impact statements, satellite imagery, teaching and research, underwater archaeology.

To apply for an undergraduate program, international students will need to have completed one or more of the following academic qualifications: A recognized senior secondary school qualification or university entrance examination, such as the New South Wales Higher School Certificate (NSW HSC) or other equivalent Australian or overseas high school qualification; A recognized university Foundation course; A recognized 2 or 3-year Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree; At least one year of a university degree from a recognized institution. IELTS of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band, or equivalent.
