Overview

Medical researchers are a lot like detectives. As they search for leads, disregard suspects and ultimately solve mysteries, they also have the thrill of knowing that each scientific discovery they make in the lab may one day turn into a pioneering real-world medical treatment.

This interdisciplinary course will provide you with the broad background in the biological, chemical and biomolecular sciences you'll need for a rewarding career whether that be unravelling the molecular building blocks that underpin disease, developing new drugs to treat or cure disease, or applying your scientific knowledge to help solve crimes.

To apply for an undergraduate program, international students will need to have completed one or more of the following academic qualifications: A recognized senior secondary school qualification or university entrance examination, such as the New South Wales Higher School Certificate (NSW HSC) or other equivalent Australian or overseas high school qualification; A recognized university Foundation course; A recognized 2 or 3-year Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree; At least one year of a university degree from a recognized institution. IELTS of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band, or equivalent.
