Finance professionals skilled in navigating the complex world of markets, banks and laws provide optimal advice about growing wealth. Accountants specialist number crunchers speak the language of business and are therefore key contributors to a business' success.

The skills you'll gain in this double degree will prepare you to interpret and communicate complex financial information so you can help businesses make informed decisions within financial and capital markets.

KEY FEATURES

You'll gain essential accounting and reporting knowledge, as well as a range of business-related skills in assurance and audit, commercial law, economics, financial management, information systems and statistics.

The professional accounting sequence meets the tertiary education requirements of CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).

You'll learn to apply current theory and analytical techniques to real-world finance industry situations.

You can complete two degrees with only one additional year of study.

ACCREDITATION

The Bachelor of Applied Finance, and associated double degrees, have been approved by ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission - authorised assessors) as meeting ASIC training requirements in relation to RG 146 compliance for generic knowledge, skills, securities, derivatives, managed investments, deposit products and non cash payment facilities, and foreign exchange, subject to the completion of certain units. The Bachelor of Commerce- Professional Accounting provides an excellent foundation for a range of accounting-based careers. The professional accounting program is accredited by Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).

IELTS of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band, or equivalent.
