Macquarie has always considered our students to be co-creators in their learning. One of the most exciting developments in our new curriculum is around your ability to study two degrees at once.

In this double degree, you will be able to combine:

• Bachelor of Actuarial Studies: ?In this professionally accredited course, you'll learn how to apply mathematical, statistical, economic and financial analysis to a range of practical problems in long-term risk management, finance and insurance.
• Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences: This degree is the only one in Sydney specifically designed to provide you with a modern mathematical and statistical education that integrates the development of mathematical and statistical knowledge and expertise with the use of mathematical technology, the development of professional communication and presentation skills, and the opportunity to work with potential employers on substantial industry projects.

KEY FEATURES

• Double degrees fast-track your study – you usually complete double degrees one or even two years faster than you would be undertaking both degrees on their own. This not only saves you time but money as well.
• You'll complete part, or all, of the Foundation level and the university component of the Associateship level professional qualifications of the Actuaries Institute, subject to demonstrating superior academic performance in the relevant units.
• You'll undertake a range of units in actuarial science, statistics, finance and economics.

To apply for an undergraduate program, international students will need to have completed one or more of the following academic qualifications: A recognized senior secondary school qualification or university entrance examination, such as the New South Wales Higher School Certificate (NSW HSC) or other equivalent Australian or overseas high school qualification; A recognized university Foundation course; A recognized 2 or 3-year Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree; At least one year of a university degree from a recognized institution. IELTS of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band, or equivalent.
