Finance professionals skilled in navigating the complex world of markets, banks and laws provide optimal advice about growing wealth. Economists help industry, business and government make informed decisions about the best allocation of our limited resources.

This double degree will give you practical financial skills and the latest economic understanding, which can be applied to real-world industry, social and governmental situations.

KEY FEATURES

This course has a focus on applying the skills you learn to real financial organisations, markets and instruments.

You'll become proficient in microeconomic and macroeconomic policy with some exposure to financial economics and econometrics, giving you the strong theoretical background you need for a successful career in either the public or private sector.

You can complete two degrees with only one additional year of study.

ACCREDITATION

The Bachelor of Applied Finance, and associated double degrees, have been approved by ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission - authorised assessors) as meeting training requirements in relation to RG146 compliance for generic knowledge, skills, securities, derivatives, managed investments, deposit products and non cash payment facilities, and foreign exchange, subject to the completion of certain units.
