Our technical postgraduate program for engineers wanting to combine further studies in their field, with management or business. This program can be taken in 2 years.

The Master of Engineering Science (Management) is designed for applicants with a background in engineering. You will have an engineering degree and be looking to expand your skills in leadership and/or management. You may also be looking to broaden career options to a career beyond engineering.

Your future is in industry, as an engineer with deeper technical skills in your engineering field, or you will be looking to move into leadership or management roles.

Software Engineering

In a digital future, the opportunities for software are as limitless as the human imagination.

The Master of Engineering Science (Software Engineering) provides a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge in software systems and applications. As our society becomes increasingly reliant on technology, there is great demand for skilled professionals to create the necessary software and information systems to transform the way we live and work.

In this field, you will use the principles of computer design, engineering, management, psychology and sociology in small or large multinational companies.

Careers

Accredited software engineers establish their own companies or work with large corporations in the areas of software design, development and advancement. Diverse roles are available, ranging from information security analysts, computer and multimedia programmers, through to software developers and information systems managers. Graduates also find employment as network managers with oversight of all company data including databases and storage.

Software engineers are employed by leading organisations such as SAP, Oracle, IBM, eBay, LinkedIn, Google and Canon.

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have a Degree equivalent to an Australian bachelor’s degree in engineering (in the relevant field of study for which they wish to enrol) with a GPA of at least 5.0 on a 7 point scale. English Language Scores: IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 AND a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening; TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19; TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading; PTE: Overall score of 64 with 60 in each communicative skills section; CAE/CPE: Overall Cambridge English Scale (CES) score of 176 with a minimum score of 169 in each skill; BE: A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all four macro skills.
