Our technical postgraduate program for engineers wanting to combine further studies in their field, with management or business. This program can be taken in 2 years.

The Master of Engineering Science (Management) is designed for applicants with a background in engineering. You will have an engineering degree and be looking to expand your skills in leadership and/or management. You may also be looking to broaden career options to a career beyond engineering.

Your future is in industry, as an engineer with deeper technical skills in your engineering field, or you will be looking to move into leadership or management roles.

Bioengineering

Solve bio-related challenges facing our society by producing chemical building blocks, therapeutical drugs (biopharmaceuticals), tissue engineered organs, new medical imaging technology and diagnostic devices.

New discoveries and modern technologies used in biology and medicine have led to the rapid change and growth of biomedical research and industry transitioning to sustainable operations. Rapid developments in the field of synthetic biology and its associated methods, including more widely available gene editing techniques, have substantially increased our capabilities for bioengineering.

As our ability to modify and control biological systems increases, biological processes are replacing chemical and mechanical processes due to their inherent advantages of renewable resources, mild operation conditions and minimal waste problem. Bioengineering creates the opportunity to solve health and environmental problems.

Careers

You will work at the interface of biomedicine and engineering. Examples of bioengineering applications include:

Cell engineered to produce chemical building blocks Therapeutical drugs (biopharmaceuticals) Tissue engineered organs New medical imaging technology Diagnostic devices

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must have a Degree equivalent to an Australian bachelor’s degree in engineering (in the relevant field of study for which they wish to enrol) with a GPA of at least 5.0 on a 7 point scale. English Language Scores: IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 AND a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening; TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19; TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading; PTE: Overall score of 64 with 60 in each communicative skills section; CAE/CPE: Overall Cambridge English Scale (CES) score of 176 with a minimum score of 169 in each skill; BE: A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all four macro skills.
