在这里学什么？ Explore the forces that are reshaping populations and societies in the 21st century and understand their effects. You’ll look at population and geography across the developed and developing world. The skills you'll learn will allow you to pursue careers such as population analyst, regional planner or social researcher. The programme responds to employers’ increasing demand for quantitative skills.This course covers how human populations change and the causes and consequences of these changes. Topics you'll cover include migration, population growth, global health, inequality, and globalisation.You'll learn from experts with international research experience. There is also an opportunity for you to apply your knowledge on a field trip. You’ll collect data and observe population issues first hand.As part of this course you’ll also:* develop advanced quantitative, analytical and methodological skills* examine what population policies aim to do and how successful they are* study global and regional issues, from reproductive health, Aids and poverty to globalisation and climate change* carry out a piece of individual research on an area of your choiceThe BSc in Population and Geography will equip you with key transferable and analytical skills, which are increasingly in demand by employers including central and local government departments, the National Health Service, the Office of National Statistics, market research, insurance and data analysis companies, NGOs/Charities and international agencies such as the United Nations and the World Health Organisation. 为来自中国的学生设计 To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need: First year of a relevant degree from a high ranked Chinese university, with an average grade of at least 70-80% . National Senior High School Certificate (three years), achieving an overall Grade B (80%) with minimum B (80%) in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course. Students completing two years of Senior High School should have achieved 85%, National Senior High School Certificate (for both two and three years), achieving an overall 85% with 85% in maths and physics. National Senior High School Certificate (three years) achieving 80% overall, with 80% in both biology and chemistry. Students completing two years should achieve 85% overall with 855 in biology and chemistry. IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.课程信息
