专业概况
在这里学什么？ This Integrated Masters in Languages (MLang) leads to a full masters award and offers you the same choice and flexibility as the BA programmes, including a full year abroad. It also has the same funding options. This degree enables you to gain a masters qualification in four years with a full year abroad and has the same funding options as for our BA programmes, with a reduced fee for the year abroad. You will have the option to specialise in certain areas (eg translation, interpreting, language education) at various points in the degree. You may study one or two languages, one at beginner's level, while pathways allow you to choose from a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules. A year abroad can also give you the chance to achieve something away from education-centred activity, such as gaining relevant work experience to help form your future plans. With many employers now expecting extracurricular or voluntary experience, this can prove vital. Your specialities in intercultural communication, listening and language will be highly valued by employers and by successfully completing the MLang you will be in a strong position for future PhD study and an academic career. Modern languages and linguistics at Southampton is consistently ranked in the top five in the UK by The Guardian University Guide and we are ranked fifth in the UK for the quality of our research (REF 2014). 为来自中国的学生设计 To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need: First year of a relevant degree from a high ranked Chinese university, with an average grade of at least 70-80% . National Senior High School Certificate (three years), achieving an overall Grade B (80%) with minimum B (80%) in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course. Students completing two years of Senior High School should have achieved 85%, National Senior High School Certificate (for both two and three years), achieving an overall 85% with 85% in maths and physics. National Senior High School Certificate (three years) achieving 80% overall, with 80% in both biology and chemistry. Students completing two years should achieve 85% overall with 855 in biology and chemistry. IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.课程信息
