在这里学什么？ If you are looking for a professional career in geophysics or quantitative Earth science, this degree is for you. Your four-year MSci Geophysics degree will equip you with a broad knowledge of contemporary geophysics and a range of geophysical, geological and mathematical skills, including field skills and computer programming. These skills transfer readily into the world of work, and graduates have been very successful in finding summer placements and subsequent employment in the geophysical industry. Whereas most programmes focus solely on terrestrial geophysics, this is combined at the University of Southampton with an expertise in marine geophysics which means that over the course of your four-year degree you will deepen your understanding of core tectonic movements, oceans and atmosphere dynamics, and the interactions in space between the solar wind and the Earth’s magnetic field.In your final-year you will get the opportunity to work alongside one of the University's cutting edge research groups completing an extensive research project in a specialised area of geophysics.All Geophysics programmes at Southampton are accredited by the Geological Society of London. 为来自中国的学生设计 To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need: First year of a relevant degree from a high ranked Chinese university, with an average grade of at least 70-80% . National Senior High School Certificate (three years), achieving an overall Grade B (80%) with minimum B (80%) in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course. Students completing two years of Senior High School should have achieved 85%, National Senior High School Certificate (for both two and three years), achieving an overall 85% with 85% in maths and physics. National Senior High School Certificate (three years) achieving 80% overall, with 80% in both biology and chemistry. Students completing two years should achieve 85% overall with 855 in biology and chemistry. IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.课程信息
