在这里学什么？ Our BA English Language and Linguistics provides a solid foundation in the study linguistics with a focus on the English language. The programme explores the structure of language, how it varies across speakers, how it develops, how it is learned, and how it is used around the world. You will be able to follow modules in theoretical linguistics, applied linguistics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, language acquisition, language teaching, and World Englishes. There will also be an opportunity to study a foreign language and take related modules in other disciplines such as English, Philosophy, Psychology and Film, allowing you to tailor your module choices to your own interests and career choices.所属院系

为来自中国的学生设计 To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need: First year of a relevant degree from a high ranked Chinese university, with an average grade of at least 70-80% . National Senior High School Certificate (three years), achieving an overall Grade B (80%) with minimum B (80%) in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course. Students completing two years of Senior High School should have achieved 85%, National Senior High School Certificate (for both two and three years), achieving an overall 85% with 85% in maths and physics. National Senior High School Certificate (three years) achieving 80% overall, with 80% in both biology and chemistry. Students completing two years should achieve 85% overall with 855 in biology and chemistry. IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.课程信息
