专业概况

在这里学什么？ The MChem Chemistry with Mathematics programme combines chemistry and mathematics in each year of the degree, with chemistry as the major component. The programme includes a major research project in year four, at the interface between chemistry and mathematics, which will allow you to gain research skills in both areas at an advanced level.You’ll develop the skills and knowledge you need to pursue a scientific career in areas such as analytical chemistry, programming and computational chemistry, nanotechnology and other chemical industries, or within research in academia.You’ll be able to complete your practical work in outstanding teaching laboratories. Following a recent multimillion-pound investment in our facilities, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art equipment and gain an excellent practical training. You’ll be able to use NMR and IR spectrometers and X-Ray diffraction facilities to analyse your own samples in the laboratories.This course is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) increasing the employability and enhancing the CVs of our graduates.
