在这里学什么？ The BSc Mental Health Nursing focuses on the importance of relationships between nurses, service users, families and others in the field on mental health. This degree focuses on the importance of relationships between nurses, service users, families and carers and others working in the field of mental health. It reflects the realities of 21st century mental health recovery-focused nursing. 50% of your programme is theory based and 50% practice based.Our Annual Mental Health Student Conference will provide you with a chance to showcase your work to fellow students and invited guests. Keynote presentations are also part of this conference and recent conferences have seen Hugh Masters, Associate Chief Nursing Officer from the Scottish Government and Jamie Hepburn, Minister for Sport, Health Improvement and Mental Health address students.Career prospectsGraduates are eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse in mental health. Depending on your chosen specialism you can work as a Registered Nurse within a hospital or community setting in the UK or EU countries and certain states in the USA or Australia. Job opportunities are excellent with attractive starting salaries.Placement/Work-based learningPractice experience is available throughout NHS Ayrshire and Arran; Greater Glasgow and Clyde; Lanarkshire; Dumfries and Galloway; and Highland (Argyll). Placement experience is usually gained relatively close to the teaching base although there will be a requirement to travel within a wider geographical area.Study abroadYou may study abroad while gaining credit towards your degree at one of our 80 educational partner organisations.Professional recognitionPlease note: professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council will be linked to an exit award of BSc Mental Health Nursing only.
