鉴于《广东省教育厅关于开展涉境外课程培训机构专项治理**的通知》，对有意愿继续开展境外课程的校外培训机构(含各类国际高中以及公民办国际部等)，必须在2023年8月底前转型为民办普通高中才能继续招生办学。

2022年，“北京、上海的国际高中突现合并潮”;截至今日，北京、上海培训类国际学校通过互相合作或合并的方式基本上已经全部转型为民办普高。

In view of the Notice of Department of Education of Guangdong Provincial on the Special Governance of Training Institutions Offering Overseas Courses, the off-campus training institutions, including various international high schools and the international departments of public and private schools, that are willing to offer overseas courses must be transformed into private high schools by the end of August 2023 in order to offer the courses and recruit students.

In 2022, there were a trend for the international high schools to be merged in Beijing and Shanghai. As of today, the international training institutions in Beijing and Shanghai have been transformed into private high schools through joint-venture cooperation or merger.
