Looking for a head start in business with a focus on financial services? This dual program gives you a foundation in managing and leading businesses, and develops your business acumen, financial literacy and analytical skills.

The Bachelor of Business Management / Bachelor of Commerce is a program suited for anyone interested in exploring accounting, financial management, banking or business analytics, and developing the knowledge and self-confidence to effectively manage a wide range of business environments.

In this program, you'll complete a range of compulsory courses that cover concepts relevant across the business world and financial services sector. You'll study topics including accounting, economics, marketing, business information systems, organisational behaviour, business law, management and more.

You'll be able to focus your career by choosing majors such as Accounting, Business Information Systems, Finance, Business Economics, Human Resources and Marketing. You can also choose a mix of courses that suit your interests.

During your studies, you'll hear from guest lecturers from industry, examine real-life case studies, and undertake projects, placements and internships with leading businesses.

You'll graduate with a combination of core and specialist knowledge, along with sharp analytical and technical skills. You'll develop the skills to confidently lead people and projects, be ready to adapt to ever-changing commercial environments and be in high demand with employers.

Human Resources

Many organisations say, “our people are our greatest asset”. Human Resources helps take this statement from aspiration to reality.

This major focuses on all aspects of people management. It will help you develop an understanding of motivation at work, how HR functions identify talent to match the needs of the business, and how organisations ensure that employees gain competence required for their roles.

You'll study topics including employment relations and workplace conflict, selection and recruitment, organisational change, performance management and leadership. The courses in this major cover Australian and international industrial relations and the legal, ethical and evidence-based approaches that underpin decisions about people and stakeholders in organisations. You’ll also develop skills in communication and contract negotiation.

This major will prepare you for a career as an HR manager or consultant in a huge range of industries, designing interventions to support productivity, change or growth, leading (global) teams, and partnering with senior executives to provide advice to boards.

English Language Scores: IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 AND a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening; TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19; TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading; PTE: Overall score of 64 with 60 in each communicative skills section; CAE/CPE: Overall Cambridge English Scale (CES) score of 176 with a minimum score of 169 in each skill; BE: A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all four macro skills.
