专业概况

在这里学什么？ Archaeology and anthropology are interrelated disciplines that, when combined, provide an excellent insight into what it is to be human, both past and present. This programme explores how people engage with their world, through methods and theories such as archaeological prospection and excavation, ethnographic fieldwork.A special feature of this program is that all the disciplines within the four fields of anthropology: archaeology, social and biological anthropology and anthropological linguistics are closely integrated over the three years, allowing you to explore global human diversity in time and space, in a truly interdisciplinary fashion. You will have the option to attend a week-long field school at the end of your first year, and participate in a minimum of three weeks of fieldwork as part of an active research project. This is usually undertaken during the summer vacation of your first or second year of study, and may be in the UK or overseas. Opportunities for undertaking further fieldwork, including participation in overseas research projects, are also available. Our year abroad courses give undergraduates the opportunity to study for an additional academic year at a university in another part of the world. Destinations include Europe, Asia and North America.

为来自中国的学生设计 To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need: First year of a relevant degree from a high ranked Chinese university, with an average grade of at least 70-80% . National Senior High School Certificate (three years), achieving an overall Grade B (80%) with minimum B (80%) in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course. Students completing two years of Senior High School should have achieved 85%, National Senior High School Certificate (for both two and three years), achieving an overall 85% with 85% in maths and physics. National Senior High School Certificate (three years) achieving 80% overall, with 80% in both biology and chemistry. Students completing two years should achieve 85% overall with 855 in biology and chemistry. IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.
