在这里学什么?This rigorous program exposes students to a broad array of legal skills and knowledge crucial to the global practice of business law. The University of Minnesota Law School draws many adjunct professors from its thriving global business community, home to 16 Fortune 500 companies. Events organized by the Law School provide networking opportunities for Business Law LL.M. students to meet Law School alumni and other business law practitioners
General Requirements for the Business Law LL.M. Degree: In order to receive the Business Law LL.M. degree a student must: a. be admitted as a candidate for the LL.M. degree; b. satisfactorily complete 24 semester credits of Law School work (17 credits of which must be in business law related courses), including coursework completed as a Humphrey Law Fellow, with a minimum grade point average of 2.0 for all law courses. The student will complete the requirements for the LL.M. degree within one academic year. The candidacy of any student who has not completed the requirements in that time will be reviewed by the Faculty Chair of the Business Law concentration and the Director of International Programs, who may dismiss the student or establish conditions for continued candidacy. If the conditions are not met, the candidate may be dismissed; c. earn a grade point average of at least 2.0 overall, for all course work; d. satisfactorily complete at least two semesters of residence as a law student (for this purpose registration for at least nine semester credits each semester is required); e. comply with all other applicable requirements of the Law School Academic Rules, other rules of the Law School and of the University; f. LL.M. students must complete at least 17 credits from approved “required” or “recommended” business law courses (see details below). Courses taken outside the Law School must comply with both the policy on credits taken outside the Law School and the requirements stated herein; and g. satisfactorily fulfill the writing requirement: complete a course, seminar, independent study, or externship/internship that requires a significant writing research component of at least 25 total pages (double-spaced) in length on a business law topic or that involves a significant practical experience in a business law-related setting. A determination whether a writing project meets this requirement shall be made by the Faculty Chair of the Business Law concentration. * LAW 6021 – LL.M. Legal Writing and Legal Skills I or LAW 6022 – LL.M. Legal Writing and Legal Skills II will fulfill this requirement.
