专业概况

The Executive MHA program utilizes an academically rigorous online and classroom format that prepares working professionals for leadership in health care administration. The curriculum includes a focus on the management of complex, integrated health systems, including the expanded role of physicians, providers, managers, and leaders in those systems.

Learning is supported by alumni involvement, innovative leadership projects, and student support by peers, faculty, and staff. Working with faculty and advisers, students design and conduct a project to introduce an innovation into their organization. The project provides the opportunity for students to bring together many aspects of their learning into an innovation of significant value.

In addition, the program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation Health care Management Education.

Career Outlook

The current demand for Executive Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) graduates is very high due, in part, to a shortage of qualified executive management talent in health care organizations. Moreover, in the next decade, as a significant proportion of current managers retire, clinical professionals will be moved into top positions, requiring advanced skills and learning to be successful.

More than 55 percent of our Executive MHA students are promoted while enrolled in the program.
