COURSE OVERVIEW

Enhance your career prospects in human resource (HR) management, people management and people development.

We will help you develop into a critical, efficient and reflective practitioner with the capabilities required for membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

We have been successfully delivering personnel and HR programmes for more than 40 years and the quality of our provision has been recognised by the CIPD and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. Many large employers in the region have supported their employees to undertake this course, including Leeds City Council, Leeds NHS Trust, the Canal Trust and Wm Morrisons Supermarkets PLC.

If you have a PG Diploma Human Resource Management you could apply to study the final 60 credits of this qualification to gain the MA Human Resource Management.

You will be taught by an experienced, highly-qualified and dedicated team of lecturers, including a Course Leader with significant experience of leading masters degrees. Compared to other institutions this course has a higher number of contact hours and the course is three semesters.

At Leeds Business School we have a great established history and high reputation for CIPD accredited courses. There are strong professional links with the national and local CIPD branch. Students come from all over the world for this course and demand for this course is growing every year. We offer personal tutoring and coaching, ensuring that you will be well supported.

TEACHING & LEARNING

Independent study is a crucial part of learning at university and you will be required to undertake many hours of self-directed research and reading, and preparation and writing of assessments. Your course is delivered through a number of modules, which will help you to plan your time and establish a study routine. Outside of your lectures, workshops and tutorials, a range of support is available to assist with your independent study. Our subject-specific librarians will be on hand to direct you to the specialist learning and study-skill resources. You’ll also be assigned an academic advisor to give you tailored feedback and support.
