专业概况
在这里学什么?Graduates of this program will demonstrate a high level of pedagogical knowledge (theory and practice) that will allow them to create learning opportunities that are consistent with Michigan’s World Language Standards and Benchmarks and with the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages; are able to evaluate, reflect on, and adjust their teaching practices so as to meet the needs of diverse learners; analyze cross-cultural issues within and beyond the classroom and school setting; evaluate their professional practice and engage in continuous and appropriate professional development; advocate for the importance of, and benefits that are accrued from, learning world languages in K-12 settings.
Degree Requirements: 43 hours
Completion of the 43-credit program of study outlined below leads to a State of Michigan teacher initial secondary teaching certificate with a K-12 endorsement and a MAT in the language in which certification is sought.
World Language Content Courses: 14 hours
Required Courses: 6 hours
