If you are interested in working with individuals with communication differences or disorders, the Bachelor of Science in Special Education K-12 Communication Sciences and Disorders Endorsement - Secondary could be your first step toward a career in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology.

Learn

In the Special Education K-12 Communication Sciences and Disorders Endorsement – Secondary program, you will obtain knowledge and develop skills related to human communication and communication disorders. You will need a graduate degree to practice in the fields of Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology, but our undergraduate program will give you the foundation you need for your graduate studies.

Opportunities

You will have the opportunity to: 1) meet peers in the major, gain new skills; and learn more about the professions by participating in EMU’s chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA); 2) participate in the Undergraduate Research Symposium; and, 3) compete for a prestigious Brehm Scholarship. Most Special Education K-12 Communication Sciences and Disorders Endorsement - Secondary graduates pursue graduate degrees in Speech-Language Pathology.
