专业概况

在这里学什么？

A student selecting the Elementary Education Social Studies Comprehensive Major will earn a Bachelor of Science and be certified to teach children from Kindergarten-Fifth grade. They are also eligible to earn the State of Michigan RX endorsement. This indicates that the student has specialized expertise in Social Studies and qualifies the student to teach Social Studies in grades 6-8.

Learn

Students will study Geography, American and World History, Economics, and Political Science. They will also learn to plan and execute child-centered learning experiences for children in grades K-5.

Opportunities

Certified teachers with the RX endorsement can teach in Kindergarten-fifth grade classrooms and Social Studies classrooms in grades 6-8.
