专业概况

The M.S. degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences is a thesis-based degree emphasizing research and independent work. Our M.S. degree prepares students to pursue a doctoral degree at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York or at another university of their choice, and to conduct research at the college and university level, or in industrial, governmental and survey agencies.

Student Learning Outcomes

• Students will be able to conduct research (MS) or address environmental challenges (MA) using appropriate analytical, quantitative and geo-referencing methodologies.
• Students will be able to communicate effectively within a professional context.
• Student will be competitive in doctoral applications (MS) or job markets (MA or MS).

为来自中国的学生设计 Students must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited post-secondary institution. International candidates who hold the equivalence of a U.S. bachelor's degree are also encouraged to apply. English language requirements: TOEFL paper - 500, computer - 173, Internet - 61.
