Fully accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), this course is an innovative alternative to a traditional MBA, which will equip you with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills to succeed in a variety of professional settings. These include small and medium-sized enterprises, larger organisations, public-sector, and not-for-profits.

As this course is CMI accredited, graduates from the programme will be awarded a Level 7 Diploma in ‘Strategic Management and Leadership Practice’ from the CMI in addition to their MSc Management for a Sustainable Future. In addition, graduates will be awarded Foundation Chartered Manager status with the CMI, with the opportunity to work towards full Chartered Manager status.

How will you be taught?

The programme is delivered entirely online. The taught component of this programme is carefully structured to facilitate your ability to learn flexibly and independently, and you will learn through a structured series of online lectures, webinars, tutorials, core and recommended reading, websites, and videos. Each student is assigned a tutor who will be in available throughout the course, to guide you through the teaching and learning materials, and provide advice and feedback on assessments.

How will you be assessed?

You will be assessed in several ways including reports, case studies, presentations and engagement with peers. There are no written exams but there is a fixed assessment date for coursework at the end of each module.

There is an opportunity to undertake a Strategic Management Project and a Strategic Consultancy Project, where you will explore an aspect of business practice or strategy in detail, solving problems and making recommendations that can be applied in practice.
