Jaco Joubert老师，本科毕业于哈佛大学机械工程专业，后考入斯坦福大学就读机械工程研究生。

Jaco Joubert老师一直在哈佛、斯坦福两所世界最的大学研习他最热爱的专业机械工程，以优异的成绩毕业后投入到教育工作中，取得了TEFL英国国际教育资格证书及英国TQUK国际教学资格证书，在美国教学数年后，来到中国开始从事国际教育。

Why do you choose to be an international education teacher in China?

为什么选择在中国当国际教育老师？

China on the other hand has systems in place for their student, opportunities and very high standards. Student in China are eager to learn and they still have respect for their teachers. It is an absolute pleasure to work with these students and share our knowledge with them to the best of our ability. Live still have meaning in Chine. People still value lives in China and respect each other.

中国生源、机会和高标准的教学要求使得中国学生们渴望学习，他们尊重老师。能够与这些学生合作，并尽我们的能力与他们分享我们的知识，这是我的荣幸。中国重视每个生命体的存在，人们珍视每个生命并相互尊重。

What is your educational philosophy?

您的教育理念是什么？

Not all students are the same. Some are fast learners and others are slow learners and is our duty as teachers to explain the work to them in such a way that everybody can and will understand. It is like a car engine. It works in just one way but you need to take it apart step by step and explain to student’s why it works and functions it that specific way. My problem is not with the student that is a fast learner but with the one that doesn’t understand so quickly. Spend more time with those students on a one on one basis and to make a lesson session as interesting as possible through multimedia like videos, PPT’s, pictures. You can say more with one picture that with a 1000 words. Students understand better when you make use of these methods rather that standing in front of a class by talking the whole time. There is no such thing as a dumb student. We all have our strong points and areas in live and we as teachers need to be exploited out of our students. Students are like construction and we as educators/teachers are to builders. If we build them to a high standard and build their foundations strong, they can rise high.

并非所有学生都一样。有些是学习速度很快的人，有些是学习速度慢的人，因材施教是我们作为教师的责任。就像汽车引擎，它虽然有固定个工作模式，但是您需要逐步分析它，并向学生解释为什么它以这种特定方式起作用并运行。我的任务不仅仅是带动那些可以快速学习和理解的学生，更在于不那么进度没有那么快的学生，与这些学生一起花更多的时间，通过视频，PPT，图片等多媒体使课程尽可能有趣。比起传统的填鸭式教学，多媒体教学等方式会使学生会更好地理解。这个世界上没有教不会的学生，有的是我们每个人自己的长处和短处，我们作为老师需要充分利用这点。教育学生就像建筑，而我们作为教育者/老师便是建造者。如果我们只有以高标准建造他们并建立牢固的基础，他们才会崛起。

What new educational methods do you think you will bring to Ealing?

您将为英领带来哪些新的教育方法？

By making use of different teaching methods for all the students. The more teaching methods you as a teacher have, the better your students will understand. Making use all multimedia possible to make a lesson session as interesting as possible to students but also to have practical projects with the student where they can be creative and see for themselves what a lesson is about and how things work in practise.

通过对不同学生采用不同因材施教的教学方法。作为老师，教学方法越多，学生就会有更多的方式加深对知识的了解。利用所有可能的多媒体，使课程对学生来说尽可能有趣，同时与学生进行实践性项目，使他们可以发挥创造力，并亲自了解课程的内容以及实践中的工作方式。
